VROOM // README.TXT
> 01 / BEGINNING
I learned streetwear the way most kids in Itaewon learn anything — by hanging out. The arches under the expressway. The thrift stores stacked with bootleg Nikes. The Korean Air pilot uniforms my uncle handed down. By the time I was sixteen I owned more sneakers than shirts. By the time I was twenty I was sketching them.
> 02 / THE NAME
VROOM came from the sound of my mom's Daewoo Tico starting up at 6:45 every morning. The car was chrome-trimmed and embarrassing. I loved it. The studio is named after it.
> 03 / THE METHOD
We design every sneaker as a desktop icon first. Then we translate it. A shoe should compress to 64×64 pixels and still say what it is. If it can't, it goes back in the drawer.
> 04 / THE DROPS
Six pairs per drop. Limited run. No restocks. We have not held a sample sale since founding. We don't believe in seasons — we believe in a kettle and a Friday.
> 05 / THE ARCHIVE
Every pair you buy comes with a 3.5" floppy disk holding its serial. If you ever resell it, the next owner needs that disk. Lose the disk, lose the shoe.
> 06 / WHAT NEXT
Drop 015 will release on a Friday in summer MMXXVI. We do not announce in advance. Subscribe.exe will email you when it boots.
